Del stood in the middle of the modified briefing room, datapad in hand, listening as the announcement sounded across the Renegade for all personnel to assemble. Another assignment from the Warlord had come through a mere fifteen minutes ago, a bit tough, but the reward made that worth it.
She had to admit this alliance with Warlord Valatine was the best idea to ever cross her mind. It kept her getting paid, kept her abilities honed, and allowed her to form bonds with fellow Mandalorians who, usually, were of like mind. She smiled at the thought of those who worked at her side, trusting her command and following her orders.
The first to come to mind was Aurn Maro, her husband. She remembered their first meeting, on a planet being fought over by the Rebel Alliance and Empire some years previously. They were enemies at first, but soon became friends and lovers, she would never care for another being the way she cared for Aurn Maro.
Then there was Ka'ra Tannen, a young, able girl who fell in with the group a while back and had been fighting with the Maros ever since. Soon after her was Tal Greyheed, a worthy slicer and tech whose expertise had saved their hides on many an occasion. Felix Niloufer and Grond Maulk also were veterans in her group of mercenaries, one a gunslinger and the other a hot-headed heavy weapons specialist; both respected. Alderis Kenpachi, Kardo Sett, and Skando Karr were all fairly new to the group, but seemed to be working out quite well. She knew in the pit of her stomach they would turn out to be valuable assets to her team.
Shaking herself from her reverie, Del plugged the datapad into the projector beside her and began uploading the information. Another assignment, another chance for the members of her band to prove themselves to one another.

Aurn entered the room wearing his black flightsuit sans armor, carrying two mugs of caf and smiling the whole way in. Stepping over to Del, he set one down on the table in front of her and leaned in to kiss her warmly on the cheek. As he did so, he thought to himself, Always the vision of loveliness.
"So what's the War-Moff got on the docket for us today, sweetheart?" he asked, draping his now free arm around her slender shoulders.

Alderis crosses his arms and looks at the couple. "Aww how cute, it almost doesn't make me want to kill again." With a smirk of sort, one thats learned to be a good sign from him his face changes to being more serrious. "So whats the old man have for us Tails?" Though some may see this as dissrespect, the fact that many on the team learned is if he had respect for a person he gives them a nickname based on apperances.
"Blow up a space station, Kill a politition, throw an old woman out an airlock, fist fight a Wookie?" Leaning back in his chair at the command desk he props his feet up.

"Thanks for the caf." Del slipped her fingers around the warmed mug and raised it to her lips, taking a long drink before turning to smile at Aurn. Before she could answer his question Alderis entered the briefing room and asked one of his own.
'The question on everyone's mind when they're called to this room; what have we been hired to do now?' She smiled slyly. "Oh you'll see once everyone else gets here. Trust me, you'll enjoy it."

"What do you mean they went ahead with changes?" Tal entered the briefing room rather unceremoniously. Wearing his grease stained tech's jumpsuit and carrying a tray of caf in one hand and datapad in the other, all the while arguing on his personal comlink.
"Without proper reinforcement over the primary conduits the whole thing could...No, I really don't care what the thought. ... They're idiots... Listen, next time someone makes ANY changes without MY approval, shoot'em in the face." Tossing the datapad on a shelf at the side of the room he cut off the comlink, before looking up and realizing everyone was looking at him.
*sigh* "Sorry bout that. I'm used to taking those coms inside my helmet. On the other hand I might be able to extend my contract by another month or two" taking a swig from one of the cafs, his gaze eventually fell upon Alderis. "You...weren't here before."

"heh what can I say, I move around a bit, come and go. Real man of the Universe in fact, Go to far places, see and meet new people, kill them." Leaving his feet up on the table as if unconcerd he grins a bit sadisticly as if lost in a train of thought, then suddenly as it appeared its gone. " I take it your a techy, maybe a smith. Too bad I won't have no work for you it seems.."
As if to elaborate on his cryptic words he removes a massive sword from its holder on his left side with his right hand while, his left goes for a cleaning cloth and sets about cleaning the blade. Oddly its the mix of grace and speed with raw power in which he draws it that is not common to Mandalorian hand to hand instruction. "I trust this more than any blaster."

"Ah, a swordsman. Now something I'm used to." Tal said nonchalantly as he took another sip from his caf, "My old partner...and now brother in-law... was one as well. Carried a blade nearly a big as I am. Heh. Constantly getting stuck in doorways. Now, I haven't seen you work, but I daresay he was stronger and faster than you, and even he came crawling to me for armor mods and a personal shield gen or two. But I'm sure we can work out some details later."
Tal sat back with bit of a smug smile as he waited for the rest of the crew to show up.

"Hmm never know unless I fight him...more to a fight than power and speed in any case, besides not the size that matters its how you use it. Heh." As if to be bored but thinking thought fully he faces the man. "Though With my armor, it pure besker, with blast weave underlay. But your talk of a personal shield Geny I may have use of, provided it didn't turn my missile rack into a time bomb, or didn't give me radiation poisoning. No that I might have use of...maybe reverse polarity..hmm." As if trapped in his own thoughs he sits back and waits for the others.

Felix strolled casually in with his helmet hanging on his hip, and a small clicking sound as his blaster swung around his finger. Nodding silently to the room as a whole Felix settled into a seat. He was more concerned as to where they were going over any other details. The wilderness just didn’t particularly suit Felix’s tastes, who would much rather take a small pay cut in exchange for a roof and a bed any day.

Grond ducked into the briefing room, muttering about tiny doorways. The Houk stood up, popped his neck with a small head twist, and stepped to a seat on the far right side of the room. He pulled out his canteen and took a drink from it as he looked around the room. As he examined the Mandos present, he spied mostly familiar faces, with one new face - a human with a sword. He rolled his eyes at the sight and took another swig of his canteen before putting it away and leaning back in his chair which groaned in protest to the large humanoid doing such. He thought of saying something sarcastic to the new swordsman, but nothing good came to mind, so he just watched other Mandalorians trickle into the room and waited for the briefing to begin.

As the last of her team filled their chairs, Del squeezed Aurn's forearm and stood up to get everyone's attention. Silence filled the room and after a brief pause Del began speaking.
"As you all know we have been commissioned once again by War-Moff Valatine. The job should be fairly straight forward, if not a little risky." She flipped on the holoprojector, displaying a small moon. "This is Drexin, a small insignificant moon in the Drelix system where we will be posing as smugglers picking up supply goods for the Rebel Alliance. The ship we're going to meet is a pirate ship whose leader is friendly with the Rebels and has been supplying them for some time. Valatine wants their cargo, everything at their main facility, and then their operation destroyed. While Aurn, Alderis, and Grond pick up the supply shipment Tal and I will stow aboard the ship with a homing beacon.
"Once we land Tal and I will shut down their defenses and do what we can to sabotage any efforts to protect against your impending invasion. That is why it is imperative that once you return the goods to the Renegade you go immediately to the location of the homing beacon. Once you are able to land Tal will walk you through their facility via comlink in order to place explosives and secure all supplies. All pirates who oppose us are to be shot down. Any questions?"

After mulling a moment over the briefing, Aurn said, "I take it, then, that our end of the op is more plain-clothes? Not exactly many of our kind serving the Rebels these days, don't want to be giving the wrong impression."

Del nodded. "Yes, when you pick up the cargo you'll be in plain clothing. You should have plenty of time before arriving at the pirate base to get dressed up." She gave Aurn a sly wink.

Felix holstered his spinning gun. “I must have missed my part in all this, or do you want me to just stay behind polishing my guns.” Felix didn’t like the idea of being left behind, both for the fact that if one didn’t work, they weren’t paid, and he could have been doing something else instead of attending this mission.

"You'll be with everyone else in Aurn's team, Felix. We're going to need the whole team, including the new recruits to pull this off."
